First thing’s first, I want to thank all of you who have already pledged support for the project. I’ve been blown away by the generosity I’ve seen over the past few days. I really appreciate your vote of confidence.
Kickstarter campaigns are exciting! I don’t know if you’ve ever left a Kickstarter window open, but I recommend doing it for a day, glancing at the total money pledged and the number of contributors every hour or so. It’s quite a thrill.
This will just be a quick post (I have another, more substantial post lined up for tomorrow), but I did want to mention that two reviews/previews of Corporate America have been released this week. If you want to learn more about the game or just see what other people (in other words, not the guy who made it) think of it, look no further.
First up there is Ryan Metzler from The (world famous) Dice Tower. Ryan was kind enough to go over how to play the game and wraps up his preview with some thoughts about his experience playing the game. Check it out… all you have to do is push play!
Next comes Cyrus Kirby’s thoughtful written review at Father Geek. Cyrus covers the game from the perspective of hard core gamers, casual parent gamers, and kid gamers (sorry, they didn’t get to play this one, but more on that tomorrow). I highly recommend it. Here’s a quote to whet your appetite:
In short, the game does not attempt to tackle any social, geopolitical, or economical issues plaguing the world today. It does, however, raise its middle finger and blow a very loud raspberry. I found it very refreshing.
I’ll leave you with that for now. Stay tuned–I’ll be updating more frequently as the Kickstarter goes in full force!
