Happy Birthday Nothing Sacred Games!

Wow, has is really been two years since the founding of Nothing Sacred Games!? Actually, it’s been a little more, but it has been two years since my first blog post about the wonderful art form that is games, and that’s close enough for me!

To celebrate, I thought it would be fun to quickly look back at some highlights for Nothing Sacred Games, and then look forward to what this year has in store!

Nothing Sacred Games: A Retrospective

Year 1: Set up business and website. Design and raise money to produce Corporate America.

Year 2: Release Corporate America. Become profitable! (But only just. And not counting  paying myself. But still.)

Not bad! But what does this year have in store?

Nothing Sacred Games Year Three: A Prospective

So what’s in Nothing Sacred Games’ near future? Some really exciting stuff!

main_menu_backgroundBubble Bees. Over the past year or so, I’ve slowly but surely been working on a digital game that should finally see the light of day in the next month or two. I first mentioned the game when discussing the many games I might pursue over a year ago. It has been a long ride, but I’m really happy with how the game is turning out and can’t wait to share it with all of you!

Also, it’s ridiculously cute. I’m not sure if I mentioned that.

Shadow Throne. And now for something not ridiculously cute.

140306_st_pnp_cover_page_flatShadow Throne has been the focus of my non-digital game designing for close to a year now. (Ok, I did have a short break while I worked on a game about bird watching.) It’s coming along really well, and I’m happy to say that wheels are in motion for the game to make it to Kickstarter in June! If all goes to plan, the game will just be released in time for Nothing Sacred Games’ third birthday!

Check out the Shadow Throne webpage to read the rules or download and make your own print and play copy!

Still Truckin’

Not every business venture survives two years, especially in the game space. It’s been a dream come true to work on games as Nothing Sacred Games, and I want to thank everyone for their continued support. Here’s to another two years!
